Suspensions from Weds HBP

Reds reliever Ross Ohlendorf and manager Bryan Price received suspensions on Friday. Here is the release from Major League Baseball:

Cincinnati Reds pitcher Ross Ohlendorf has received a three-game suspension and an undisclosed fine for intentionally throwing a pitch at David Freese of the Pittsburgh Pirates, while warnings were in place for both teams, in the top of the ninth inning of Wednesday night’s game at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati. Joe Garagiola Jr., Senior Vice President of Standards & On-Field Operations for Major League Baseball, made the announcement.

In addition, Reds manager Bryan Price has received a one-game suspension and an undisclosed fine for the intentional actions of Ohlendorf while warnings were in place. Price will serve his suspension tonight, when the Reds are to begin a road series against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Ohlendorf’s suspension had been scheduled to begin tonight at Philadelphia. However, he has elected to file an appeal. Thus, the discipline issued to Ohlendorf will be held in abeyance until the process is complete.

Can these guys get permanent suspensions. Wow we will really miss them. Just saying.

Breaking News from the Reds bullpen. We did miss Price because we couldn’t even change pitchers efficiently. In the words of Tracy Jones these guys are jack b…s and j a’s andJim Riggleman deserves a big ol Come On Man. Knuckleheads. Would have loved to be a fly on the wall hearing Lou Pinella’s comments watching that cluster fu….Jim Kelch thank you for saying that looked bad. That was kind Jim. Screw up a pitching change. Mr. Castellini, your boys lack some smarts. Communication boys. Communication. Jay Bell. Where are you.

Someone let Coach Price know to stop using big words. The next time he says ambiguous I’m going to croak. Big words are the sign of a small and weak mind. Just listen. You’ll see what I’m talking about.

Breaking News from the Reds training staff. Dr Kremchek has been placed on the 15 day DL. Pulled a hamstrng and tore a labrum operating on Mesoraco. His nurse Dr T..told me that one. If you’ve been to Dr K then you know T finishes you. That is true. Made myself laugh. Happy Saturday boys. Hope you laughed too.

The Reds have no middle relief pitching at all whether Olendorf intentionally hit Freese or not I don’t know. All I see as a Reds fan is the team needs a lot of hitters added PLUS a new crew of middle relief. There are players in the Reds minor league system at AAA & AA level that seem ready now to help this team. But it seems the Reds organization is not interested in winning games. Jocketty has put this team together, enough said…

Get use to losing as the New Norm. Sad it will be like 1982-83 for 5-7 years. Or untill they wake up and clean house. Not promote from within, but get rid of the non winning coaches.and manager. The Cubs finally did it. Look at them now. Our Reds have replaced the Cubs as the Joke of the NL. Dont worry Atlanta will get a new Manager. The Reds will keep Price because hes cheap and paid for. Not because he has shown he cant Manage!!! Nor motivate anybody. Good luck selling tickets to watch this mess. And they wonder why 25,000 go watch soccer??? If this ownership took the same focus they seem to do getting fans bobble heads, free pizza and fireworks and put that same focus at building a Winning Team they wouldnt need tge gimmicks to sell tickets. Watching a winning team that has a backing from upstairs to do what it takes to get to the next level will sell tickets. Not tell fans your all in at trade deadlines and do nothing. Know you need help and refuse too make trades etc does not get me as a fan excited. This ownership blew it last trade deadline to go get top talent with Chapman and Frazier. They got less waiting till the off season. Now they have some plan to get back quickly to winning. I dont buy it. This bullpen is a joke. And I dont see any way they fix it and next year will be just like this. Then they will blame the fans for not buying tickets as why it will take even longer to do anything. If tge Bengals win a pl a yoff game or win a Super Bowl this town will become a football town. The Reds FO will be begging fans to watch thier mess .good luck with that.
