1st official season-opening comment!

Thank god its opening day in Cincinnati ! Mes batting 6th what a shame !

I agree he could be amazing… But I think the Reds are not sure what he is right now after injury.

I count 8 of the 25 (roster) new faces. If the young pitchers can do their job the Reds just might fool some so-called experts. I like the starting lineup.

If Hamilton can’t lead off, then he does not belong on the team. But if you send him out, send Jocketty with him.

This is the dumbest comment ever. The guy is the best CF’er in the league man! He definitely does’nt deserve to lead off. But he does deserves to be roaming CF everyday.

Agree he should be leading off, because who cares this year. Give it to him and if he cant do it then figure it out next year.

Yes, Telepicker. It’s Opening Day!. No time for negativity. Go Reds! May the team win a game for every negative thought I’ve had this off-season, which would win them the World Series! It happened for the Royals! The Astros leapt up off the mat! Why not the Reds? Reality tomorrow. For today, outrageous optimism, unsupported hope, starry-eyed predictions of triumphant victory! I love this roster! I love this lineup! I love this manager and all his coaches! How can we lose? Go Reds !!!!!!!!

Yeah! I actually feel we’ll win this series! Kill the phills!!

i wonder if Billy H. would be better off leading off in Louisville the first month rather than batting 9th here.

No, he’s still not going to be a good hitter either way. He just needs to understand he has to play to his strengths. Slap the ball, bunt a TON more. Choke up! Put the ball in the play. Make the defense make a play against you. Once/If he ever understands that. He could POSSIBLY be a lead off hitter again.

He’s still the best defensive CF’er in the game IMO. He helps us a ton defensively, and that’s very important with a young pitching staff.

After that catch last night, do you see my point now?

The lineup should produce runs.
The pitching is where it seems to be an unknown on what to expect. If pitching is better than expected Reds could surprise everyone .

After watching Billy play in Louisville and Cincinnati for about four years now Price has him batting where he belongs. Derek Forrest said the same thing on channel 5 last night and he has watched him in both places too.
