Games 13-16: Reds at MIL

I am off the rest of the road trip and will be back covering on Friday.

All the news and stories you need will be on

Lucky you Mark , watching the Reds offense is offensive !

The lack of hitting and poor management by Price has me thinking that until those items are fixed, we will continue to be in this quagmire.
Excerpt from one of Mark’s entries on…
“Leaker was great. Eight great innings,” Reds manager Bryan Price said. “Unfortunately, it will be remembered for Jon Jay hitting a double and the Cardinals doing some good situational offense, with Molina moving the runner and Wong getting the sacrifice fly to left. … We’ve got to sit here and talk about what the Cardinals did right and what we didn’t.”
These comb over, milk-toast comments aren’t getting it for me, so I think I will take
time off as well; it’s just no fun watching a game that I can predict the outcome of, before it even starts. One thing is to have poor hitting or poor BP, but to be honest, to have a Manager that truly has made blunders this season on when to take out a SP due to either ‘situation’ or ‘SP matchups’ or common sense…just turns my stomach. Then to read about it the next morning; ‘I just thought he matched up well and was pitching well’ type comments from the Manager makes me nearly hurl my breakfast. And worse, it happens again, and again, and again; that is the worst of it all. He is without a doubt, one of the greatest PC I have ever seen, yet that has no translated to being the Manager of the Reds with anywhere near the same results.

Hang in there Neb and stay in touch. Always look forward to your input. I agree it is extremely painful to see Price’s decisions and then hear his explanations. It does indeed look like ‘Groundhog Year’.

From Charlie Wilmuth at MLBTR;
•”The Reds say catcher Devin Mesoraco (hip impingement) was available to pinch-hit this weekend, but his absence in the ninth inning with the tying run aboard against the Cardinals says otherwise, C. Trent Rosecrans of the Cincinnati Enquirer writes. Mesoraco wasn’t even in the team’s clubhouse after the game, Rosecrans reports. Mesoraco has been out for a week now, but the Reds continue to play with a short bench, even though they could place Mesoraco on the disabled list and backdate the move to April 13. In any case, being without a healthy Mesoraco hurts the 5-6 Reds — he earned a January extension after hitting .273/.359/.534 in a breakout 2014 season.”

Sounds to me like Price has lost control.

What is Price have to do with this ?

According to Rosencrans, or at least the way I took it, neither Price or teammates knew he had packed up and left. As far as I know there has been no words from the Reds to explain.

He’s not with the team; he is visiting his family.

Sounds to me like were at least going to get something for Cueto, instead of him just walking in the offseason. Yay!!!

Pete Rose to Join Fox Sports as Baseball Analyst
By Adam Wells , Featured Columnist
Apr 18, 2015
After being banned from the sport in 1989, Pete Rose is finally coming back to baseball—as a television analyst for Fox Sports.
According to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports, Rose has signed a deal to be a guest analyst on various television programs on the family of networks:
“ Rose will serve FOX as a guest analyst for the MLB on FOX pregame show on FOX and FOX Sports 1 and will also appear on “MLB Whiparound,” “America’s Pregame” and “FOX Sports Live” on FOX Sports 1. …
… FOX officials say they are hiring Rose for his on-air presence and that he will make for compelling television regardless of how one views his controversial past.
”Rose, 74, is quoted in Rosenthal’s report as saying he enjoys “talking baseball, and that’s what this is all about. Enjoying the game of baseball, sitting in the green room watching two or three games, getting on TV and talking about it. It’s right up my alley, I think.”
As far as MLB’s reaction to Rose’s hiring, Rosenthal spoke to MLB Chief Communications Officer Pat Courtney, who said the “decision to hire on-air talent for its telecasts rests solely with Fox” since the network doesn’t have to receive permission about television talent despite being a broadcast partner.
Rose’s hiring as a Fox analyst comes at a time when he is trying once again to have his lifetime ban from MLB lifted, as CBS Sports’ Jon Heyman reported in March:
While there is likely a long way to go before Rose knows if he will ever be reinstated by new MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred, the all-time hit king does get the opportunity to discuss the sport on a national stage and share insights.
At the very least, Rose can provide a boost to Fox Sports’ coverage simply by being a unique, entertaining presence. Time will tell if he has all the necessary skills to be a thoughtful and insightful analyst, but at least he has a lively personality that everyone knows.
This may not be the exact return to baseball that some fans have wanted for Rose, but now he’ll be back around the game on a regular basis.

So much for the time off Neb! LOL

Since we will I guess be trading Cueto at trade deadline, then I hope we can get another DeSclafani and maybe a solid hitter too to replace just about anyone not named Votto out there. I dont understand what is going on with Bruce anymore. He does nothing for this team.

No shit ! We could have 4 more Cueto clones and this team couldn’t score enough runs to win , ship Bruce out with Cueto !

You mean to tell me that 2 hours and 20 minutes wasn’t enough time off?
No, I meant what I said but I will watch tonight’s game because DeSclafani
is pitching. However, if and when Price makes another managerial faux pas
I’ll meander on down the road until they start playing like this team should. The
reality is that we can ill afford to give away any games that we should have won;
at minimum, we should be 7-5 (or 8-4) and 1 1/2 (or 1/2) games back of the Cards.
It’s hard enough to win a game while playing 9 guys between the lines; far harder when a game is lost by one that isn’t. If Price doesn’t manage the ball club correctly, each and every game, he’s about as useful as an ashtray on a motorcycle.

Maybe he’ll use Chapman tonight, who by the way has only appeared in 1 of the last 7 games.

What happened to…”he’ll be used for more than one inning”. Seems to me
we could have used him over the last 6 days.

This aspect of the game is running just fine.

A profane Bryan Price vents frustration
C. Trent Rosecrans, 8:26 p.m. EDT April 20, 2015

Audio of the interview mentioned in this article will be posted soon.

MILWAUKEE — Reds manager Bryan Price showed the same frustration that has welled up among the team’s fanbase as the team is coming off four straight losses and seven losses in eight games.

Instead of lashing out at his team’s offensive woes, bullpen blowups or the cards dealt to him by his general manager, Price went off on the media.

Upset by the accurate reports that All-Star catcher Devin Mesoraco was not with the team for Sunday’s game in St. Louis, Price went on a five-minute, 34-second expletive-filled tirade in his daily session with reporters.

“I don’t know what the importance is for everyone to know if we have a player that’s not here,” Price said. “We don’t benefit at all from the other teams knowing we don’t have a player.”

The Enquirer reported after Sunday’s game that Mesoraco was not available for pinch-hitting duties in the Reds’ 2-1 loss in St. Louis. When asked after the game if Mesoraco was a consideration in that spot, Price said he was not.

It was a truthful answer, if not a complete one.

The story did not sit well with Price. In his daily pregame interview with Fox Sports Ohio, Price answered the question about Mesoraco’s whereabouts, starting, “Well, obviously he’s not here. We broke that story last night, apparently,” Price said.

The television crews left and about 10 reporters remained in the room. That’s when Price took his turn doing the talking.

What followed was a five-minute, 34-second expletive-filled tirade. The final tally was 77 uses of the “F” word or a variant and 11 uses of a vulgar term for feces (two bovine, one equine).

The basis of Price’s argument was that he was not fond of sharing information with the media that could be used to his opponent’s advantage.

Price was also upset that The Enquirer reported that Mesoraco and Tucker Barnhart were on the same flight to St. Louis last Friday as an Enquirer reporter. Price said he hadn’t gotten a chance to tell catcher Kyle Skipworth that he’d be returning to the minors before the news that Barnhart was on his way to St. Louis had been reported.

Wow! – I just heard this covered on WLW. I wasn’t aware of the extent of this incident. How pathetic on Price’s part. What a cry-baby. Man, if ownership needs an excuse to show him the exit – here it is!

So now he wants to manage the media on what they can and cannot say. Wasn’t Rosencrans fault that Price hadn’t told Skipworth. He was just reporting what he saw on the plane I think Price has enough on his plate just managing this team.

Also, Price accused Rosecrans of undermining the Reds (which is just a dodge on Price’s part), BUT it was Price himself who showed a weak attitude re the Cards. Price is quoted by Rosecrans in Monday’s Enquirer as saying: “The Reds don’t anticipate winning in Busch stadium.” Well, who is telegraphing weakness in such a remark. Certainly not Rosecrans.

A excerpt from a transcript of the interview:

Bryan Price (BP): Can I ask you a question?

C. Trent Rosecrans (CTR): Sure

BP: I don’t understand what the importance is for everybody to know if we have a player that’s not here. We don’t benefit from the other teams knowing we don’t have a player. It does — you don’t have to be a Reds fan, but it doesn’t help us if our opponents know who is here and who isn’t. That’s what I want to know.

CTR: Well, as a fan, I’m wondering, here’s a spot for Devin Mesoraco, why isn’t he there?

BP: Where was the spot?

CTR: As a pinch-hitter? He’s an All-Star with 25 home runs last year, I know I asked if it was a left-handed bat thing, you said no.

BP: I don’t get it. It’s, you know, look, I don’t need you guys to be fans of the Reds, I just need to know if there’s something we want to keep here, it stays here. We don’t need to know that Tucker Barnhart’s in the f****** airport when we haven’t spoken to Kyle Skipworth. I think we owe that f******* kid the right to be called and told that he’s going to be sent down as opposed to reading that Tucker Barnhart is on his way from Louisville. I just… I don’t get it. I don’t get why it’s got to be this way. Has it always been this way where we just tell f****** everybody everything? So every f****** opponent we have has to know exactly what we have. Which f****** relievers are available, which guys are here and which guys aren’t here, when they can play, and what they can do. It’s nobody’s f****** business. It’s certainly not the opponent’s business. We have to deal with this f****** b*******.

I like to talk — and I have spoken as candidly as I can with you people, if that’s not good enough, I won’t say a f******thing. I’ll go, ‘yes sir, no sir.’ And I can do that. But f***, I’ve been as candid as I can f****** be about this team and our players, and we’ve got to deal with this s***, every f****** team that we f****** play has to know every f****** guy that’s here and what they can and can’t do? F*** me. It’s a f****** disgrace. I’m f****** sick of this s***. It’s f****** hard enough to f****** win here to have f****** every f****** opponent know exactly what the f*** we bring to the table every day. It’s f****** horse****. I don’t like it. It’s what I’m saying. To make it very clear, I don’t like the way that this s***’s going — at all. I don’t like it. I don’t think you guys need to know everything. And I certainly don’t think you need to see something and tweet it out there and make it a f****** world event. How the f*** do we benefit from them knowing we don’t have Devin Mesoraco? How do we benefit from that? They benefit from it. I just want to know how we benefit from these f****** people know we don’t have a player here. Can you answer that? How is that good for the Reds?

CTR: I don’t know…

BP: Yeah, well it’s making my job f****** harder.

CTR: I’m sure it is.

BP: Well, thank you. I don’t know if that’s what we’re supposed to do. Are we supposed to f****** open up everything here for everybody to know all the f****** time? That’s all I want to know, what your expectations are, because f*** me. If I’ve got f****** to tell these guys, we gotta go out there and they know we don’t have f****** Devin Mesoraco, what f****** benefit is that to me as a manager? And our team to win a f****** game?

CTR: He hasn’t been there for a week-and-a-half

BP: I just want an answer on how we benefit from them knowing that Devin Mesoraco isn’t here.

CTR: I don’t think you do and I don’t know that that’s my job.

BP: Your job is not to sniff out every f****** thing is about the Reds and f****** put it out there for every other f****** guy to hear. It’s not your job. You want me to be candid with you? I’ve been candid with you. I f****** talk to you guys like men, I tell you what the f***’s going on with the team, I tell you how I’m feeling as candidly as I can and then this s***? You’ve got to watch this f****** s***? I’ve got to f****** read that on a f****** Tweet on our own people in here that we don’t have a f****** player? How the f*** does that benefit the Reds? It doesn’t benefit us one f****** bit. God **** we try to go out there and win f****** games and I got to come in here and then you guys f****** blow it all over the f****** place? Who we can play? Who we can’t? I’ll tell you what you want to know, I’m not going to f****** lie to you. I didn’t tell you f****** s***.

CTR: You did not lie to me and I appreciate it.

BP: Ah, f***. I’m just, I’m f****** p****** up a rope in this f****** business. Because everyone has to know everything all the f****** time. That’s not my f****** obligation, it’s not their obligation. You know why f****** Billy Hamilton didn’t f****** play? The other day? Because his f****** finger’s hurt and he couldn’t hit right-handed comfortably. Right? So that’s something that I need to know and no one else needs to know. No one else needs to f****** know it, and all of a sudden it’s out there. His f****** fingers are sore. It doesn’t benefit us. It wasn’t from you, but it doesn’t benefit us one bit to f****** announce to the f****** other teams that we’re playing to bring in lefties when they need to f****** get Billy out. There’s no benefit. So, I’m f******, to be honest with you, I’m f****** sick of this s***. I’m sick of listening to this f****** s***, I’m sick of f****** the f****** second-guessing b*******, you guys can do whatever the f*** you want, but I’ll tell you this — I’m not going to f****** tell you everything about this f****** club, because you f****** guys are going to out there and sniff it out anyway. I don’t f****** like it one f****** bit. I bend over backwards to be honest and direct with you f****** guys and you stick it right up my f****** a** — and the f****** team’s a**. And I’m sick of it. What do you got? If you don’t got anything, get out and I’ll do this f****** interview with Marty. You don’t have anything? Just get out, please.

Hi Mark. Next time you talk to Marlon Byrd. Have him look at video of his swing the past two seasons. A co-worker told me to look at his front leg lift and plant then perfect timing as his bat swing timing was almost perfect. I saw it as well on youtube highlites of Marlon’s 2013 big hits with both Mets and Pirates. With the Reds his step with his front foot is just not right and he is late on his swing. This will help him big time when he sees the difference from now and 2013!!!. Thanks

Coach Price should have lunch with Marvin Lewis. Marvin loves the media. Dusty was always great with the media. Bryan should have learned something from Dusty. Welcome to the kitchen Bryan. Its about to get alot hotter.
Bottom line is frustration. At least it shows he cares. But he doesn’t seem to have a feel for the game when its right in front of him. There are games to win, and games to give up and tomorrow is another day. Price, the bench coach, hitting coach and pitching coach will all be gone before the all star game hits town. Just watch. Too many wishy washy can’t make a decision people running this team. Frustration proves that. Price does have a point about the media but management should have their act together too. Make your bed you have to lie in it.

Hey Mr. Price! We’re f****** sick you making terrible managerial moves, and proving to everyone that this job is WAAAAAAY over your head. So STFU, keep sucking, get fired, and go back to being strictly a pitching coach, because you were good at that. But you’re an awful f****** manager! Funny how the fact that you keep throwing Keving Gregg out there. or the fact that Jason Marquis is still in our rotation didn’t come up in any of your comments……

Great game by Descla last night…..kid was fine and could have gotten his first complete game shutout. But nope, let’s yank him before that happens! He hadn’t even hit 100 pitches you jag bag! I wish Rosencrans would off popped back off on Price. Price deserves with the BS he pulls all the time. Worst manager in baseball. Pretty sad coming from a huge fan of the Reds!

I was ok with pulling the kid in the 8th. Game was over lets end his stint with confidence. And maybe just maybe we can get some kinks out of the bullpen with some easy mop up roles. blahhh this bullpen is terrible…

Concerned that Chapman has made only 1 appearance in last 8 games. I think if he’s going to be sharp when we need him, he needs some work.

The only reference I saw on the “Official Site of the Cincinnati Reds” to the outburst by Price was that before the game Price voiced his displeasure over the Mesaraco story. IMO without the beat reporters covering the Reds we would be kept in the dark about anything the Reds didn’t want to take accountability for. Keep it up Rosencrans, Daugherty and Fay. Let us know what’s really going on. We are the ones paying the money.

4/21 lineup:

Ha, Ha – Reds vs. Brewers – race to the bottom? Who can give up more GS’s?

Looks like we have changed from the friendly confines of Wrigley Field to the friendly confines of Miler Park.

Mesaraco : 10 days and counting . Playing with 24 . Is there no one in the minors to bring up ? That’s right . There isn’t .

Hahahaha, Bet you wish your team had Votto, Cueto and Chapman. Do us all a favor and trip and break your typing fingers while “rounding third.”

Marquis looks like a good relief pitcher. No more than one time through the order. That fine move him because no one else can get one inning. Winning doesnt mean we cant make changes. Lets bring up Iglesias, Lorenzen, and LeCure. Release Greg, Diaz, send Hoover Down. Move Marquis to the pen. I think those changes would really change this team for the better. Am I crazy or why dont they see this? Why does mgmt think they can continue to throw out these guys expecting different results. Dont be afraid of change.

Most important thing is for you not to take any more vacations. You’re 6-0. LOL.

Amen…. Dont feel rested anyway.

Because they are not trying to win. Why do the fans not see that yet? The fact that Gregg and Marquis are on our team should show us that as it is. Our offense is going to try and do everything they can outplay the organizations horrible decision making, and it makes for some fun. Cueto should have been signed before the season, the fact that he wasn’t is a huge miss for a club who traded 2 starters in order to keep him. Now, unless we trade him at the break, he’s walking and were getting nothing for him. So I ask you all as Reds fans…while I never WANT to see us lose…..should we really be wanting to win?

I want them to sign Cueto what ever it takes. I dont think we will see someone like him again. Asking our minors to replace 4 starting pitchers is impossible in my eyes. Three can be done with who we have. Though I am on the side that this team bar management is better than most think. We have Votto and Cueto. That is better than most. Two MVPs on one team is nice to have.

I don’t think it matters what we fans want . This organization has been blowing smoke up our skirts for two years now . The Uncle Bryan explosion should have told us that . Besides , the winning and losing will take care of itself .

Nice stretch coming up to get back into things. Will be interesting to see how it goes especially tonight’s game after that slugfest last night. Good to see. Wish we could keep Cueto too but just don’t seeing a small market team affording what he wants.

Big difference. We can’t afford what he’s worth, not that we can’t afford what he wants. Dude is a top 5 starter in the league, who is going to have his choice of where he wants to play in the offseason. If you were him, and with the current coaching and organizational state of the Reds. Would you choose Cincinnati? Our offense producing when he picthes would be a good start at possibly keeping him around. This has been his home for a long time. He would be leaving A LOT of close friends behind, so there is the emotional side that could possibly allow us to get him a little cheaper, or keep him here. Yet, the odds are not looking good after not locking him up before the season. Man I hope I’m wrong.

4/22/15 lineup. Anybody else think it may be a smart idea to switch Byrd and Cozart. I mean it’s pretty obvious there Mr. Price……

The only reason Byrd is even in the lineup is because he makes more money than the “bench players.” The Reds have to justify signing him .

I keep watching him and expressed last week and I still believe he is late getting his hands back into hitting position. Can’t get around on the pitch and if he makes contact it is sliced off to the right. Someone else said the videos from a previous season shows his left foot is not setting up the way it has in the past. This may be all BS, but if it isn’t, it would be nice if our hitting coach would look into it. Or better yet, maybe we could get Larkin to turn him around like he has done for Cozart.

I can’t even tell you who the hitting coach is . You’re right about Byrd . He swings at pitches in his eyes .

Don Long. Assistant is Lee Tinsley.

That was a real good one to win after the type of game last night.

Wow Hamilton and Votto and Cueto. That’s it

Happens A lot after a slugfest.

And Chapman. What a difference when we actually use him. Exciting finish.

Mark….I’m so used to reading your articles on my mlb at bat app that I noticed right away when someone else was writing the articles. I had to google you and see what happened to you! Glad it was just a vacation…enjoy!!!

Another game where we don’t hit for Cueto. Surprise….surprise. Dude see’s 16 runs go up the night before, and only 1 through 7 when he pitches. Lucky 2 run on a wild pitch. Roll out the red (no pun intended) carpet folks…He gone! It amazes me that this organization isn’t throwing whatever money they can at him right now, yelling PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE sign an extension.

Oh forgot to comment on this last night. In no way shape or form were either of those bulks… That was the biggest joke of the night and if he would have lost that game because of those calls, blahhhhhh…..

haha still cant spell Balks…

4/23/15 lineup:

Why doesnt Byrd get a day off? Hey Dusty how does this work again. When he is struggling we want him to get his groove back and when he is hot we want to rest him so he doesnt begin to struggle.

wait what is going on here???? Was that Hamilton Votto tandem not working. Dont mess with a good thing. Also never understood how resting people worked. Can we rest guys during the Cards games since we apparently cant win anyway. A win is a win so let go after the easy ones and rest guys during the impossible game. That is what I would do.

I absolutely don’t understand changing the Hamilton, Votto batting order. Maybe it will work. Maybe Cozart will suddenly be able to hit in a spot he has failed at in the past. Maybe Price has a reasonable explanation. Maybe it’s going to rain in southern California. Maybe……………………..

Since Frazier is out I can see moving Cozart up for one game. Besides we have our three best hitters in a row, nothing wrong with that.

@HoosierVirg. I would have either moved everyone up a slot or put Cozart 3rd (which would be my preference)to replace Frazier. Last 7 games Cozart is 2nd in hitting and 1st in HRs and RBIs. I would not mess with the Hamilton, Votto order. Just a feeling, I don’t qualify as an expert.

Its stupid. Votto sees better pitches and Hamilton gets more time to steal. Its common freaking sense. I dont care were anyone else is in the line up or what players changes in the line up. This stays together if both players are playing. End of story. And I would call out Price for changing it and let him F-bomb his way out of it. It still wont change that its a bad idea.

Welcome to 2015 Marlon Byrd! Geeesh, took long enough. Good thing we didn’t rest him huh bigblu? I agree Virg, it’s one game and our 33 hitter is getting a break. Don’t mind the shuffle today. Hamilton then Votto will be our lineup most of the time.

Haha. Ofcourse… If I was manager Bruce and Byrd would own the 8 and 9 spots in the order just to make a statement. That if they found themselves in the line up. I get slumps but they arent slumping. Bruce is swing at anything and pulling off the ball. Byrd is waving at the pitch and his timing is horrible. Most slumps are just bad luck hitting at a guy. Slumps should not determine striking out. Everyone not named Votto should be told when and where to bunt if needed. Bruce I am looking at you. He could bunt down the third base line and walk to first base every at bat. I like Bruce and think he is an enormous talent, but I dont like the hitter he is becoming stubborn and predictable.

3 hitter, not 33 hitter lol

Some of us seem to have forgotten that Hamilton was in a major slump and just yesterday came through again. Like I said to make a major deal about one game doesn’t make sense to me. I stand by what I said, three best hitters in a row , can’t beat that with a stick.

This just in. Price puts in Kevin Gregg in a tie ballgame, and he gives up the lead…..Ughhh, I could have wrote this update months ago….

It’s seriously like Price has a clause in his contract where he gets a bonus for each Gregg blown save. No reason to bring him back out after the 6th inning.

Votto didnt get on base at all. Put him in the two hole and leave it alone…. I know its stupid but I am blaming this loss on stupid line up changes.

Right!?!?! He keeps trying to justify keeping him on the roster from the beginning of the season. Or, is it possible that he’s being ordered by management to continue to throw him out there so that we do lose, and can get something for Cueto before he walks. Marquis being in our starting rotation would only prove that side a little more as well. I predicted Gregg wouldn’t last a month with the team on here before the season started. I wouldn’t doubt if he was gone tonight.

Then they start the 8th with Parra facing Braun….I mean seriously? Gotta give some credit to Lohse though. He has consistently shut down the Reds throughout his career, and he did it again today.

Don’t hold your breath on Votto moving back to the two hole . I don’t understand why you have to rest these guys . Especially when you have a 3 game winning streak . This is a page right out of Dusty’s book . Uncle Bryan thinks way too much !!! Leave the lineup alone if you’re winning . Is that so hard to do ? I guess he wNts everyone to know he’s still the manager . At least till the end of the year .

What bugs me? Leaving Gregg in to Blow another game. is Price ticked at Cingrani? But would rather let Gregg keep giving up runs every time he pitches???? And top of the 8th down 3-2, why isn’t Frazier hitting for Negron??? Then either mezaraco or Pena for Barnhart? And then Boesch for the pitchers spot???? What Price felt sorry for the Brewers? And had to mail it in?.. he will never get this team focused on trying to win doing dumb managing moves…

I tend to believe it was Uncle Bryan who wanted Gregg . So come hell or high water , he is going to keep running this no talent retread out there . As far as the moves you suggested , Price has proven time and again he is not capable of making intelligent decisions . He’s a terrible manager .

Not only is he a terrible manager. He’s the worst in the bigs. I kinda feel bad for the guy, because after his tirade the other day, he’s proven he is way in over his head. The late inning decision making continues to just give wins away. Not only give wins away, but doing it in the worst fashion possible. Coaches are expected to put their best players into the best situations. Yesterday, PRICE DID THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE. It’s so bad, that you have to wonder if some of the direction is coming down from the front office screaming for the “cash in for Cueto before he walks” idea.

Price won’t use Chapman for more than 1 inning, but he does it for Gregg. What else do you need to know?????????????/

ok the Cingrani thing is bothering me. I was yelling for him to come in for Marquis the other day and havent seen him since the warm up. I mean what is going on here?

For all you guys worried that the Votto to the 3 hole thing was permanent.

Lineup-4/24/15- Lester vs Leake

More worried on why it was ever done. The whole reason we all wanted Votto in the two hole was because its where your best hitter should go. Moving him because Frazier was out is completely contradictory. That is like moving Hamilton from leadoff because we Bruce isnt in the lineup. One should have nothing to do with the other.

I hear ya, I was just stating that it wasn’t happening again today.

I sure hope Billy Hamilton can get on base a few times tonight, especially to lead off the game….

First time I’ve gotten to read. Not good for Meso. What a shame if this ends up being the case.

Makes you wonder why the Reds think Mes will be able to overcome this and continue to be a catcher. What other top hospitals or specialists has Mes seen. What is their prognosis if Mes continues to catch compared to prognosis if he changes positions? What is prognosis with surgery?
