Jake Elmore is the personification of a utility player. In 2013 he played for Houston and played in ALL nine positions on the field, including batting DH. Although some positions were played for only a handful of games, he obviously is an athlete. His primary positions are SS, 2B and LF (according to # of games played).

Good guy to have in the pipeline. Also, I think he is under contract until 2020. Do you know his salary. Don’t mind losing Christiani as we are top heavy in pitching.

Christiani has not been successful in a 13-inning tryout this year, allowing eight earned runs and striking out only eight batters against six walks. He moved quickly to Triple-A after being drafted in the 13th round in 2009, and has put up solid enough results there (until this season, at least; he carries a 7.71 ERA).

Odd…why wouldn’t a team want Ludwick? Because he’s homered once in his last 30 games and comes with a $9m salary for 2015…
•2015:$9M mutual option ($4.5M buyout)
•buyout is deferred without interest
Another failed big-time contract by a small-income team.

Have to forgive Jocketty for thinking he had lost it for not getting anyone to help our team. Didn’t know he was working so hard to get us Elmore, Thanks Walt , now who is Elmore?

Are IN Hoover and Sam Lecure related to Brian Price in some way?

Please Mr Sheldon, will you please ask Walt, why pay big money to our starters when they pitch good and this offense KEEPS sputtering with zero accountability. This team could have 4 Cy young starters and this weak offense would score less than 2 runs a night and they stil would be a .500 team.. How can Walt just accept this mess with the offense and do ZERO to fix it?????.. He says cant weaken the starting pitching to get a bat, heck, the Starters are DOING their job, Time to fix the weak offense.. Tired of the excuses.. If they want to sell more tickets this summer, better do something.. Cozart and Bruce and part of the LF platoon has been killing this team.. And guess what, they still get in the lineup.. The last 2 games, Ludwick has been driving in runs.. tonight?? he sits.. That sounds like Dusty.,.. Remember the times Hiesey got to start and hit 3 home runs in one game and 2 in another, he sat the VERY next day…So Ludwick is finally starting to swing the bat better, and SITS!!!.. if I am manager i ride the hot hand.. i dont sit hitters while 0-4 Cozart and 0-4 Bruce PLAY EVERYDAY…

Walt should trade Contreras, Hoover, Lecure, and Parra. And pick up an average relief pitcher

I couldn’t understand Price PH Hanahan(0/8) in the 8th. Was something wrong with Lutz. Realize we still scored, but it didn’t make sense to me. I know there are different points of view, but I would have walked Yelich. He didn’t make any difference and might have provided a DP possibility. With this offense though, I’m not sure it would have made any difference. #2, 3 & 4 were 0/11 and of course Cozart was 0/3 with 2k’s.

Heisey triples with 1 out in the 9th. One of the fastest position players on the team on 3rd with the best bunter, fastest player, and the one guy on the team that sends at least a cool shiver up the oppositions neck at the plate. Only problem is he’s hitting about .120 in his last 60 at bats. So we put on a suicide bunt play right? Nope, we swing away and go down in 3 pitches and follow that up with another K by Bruce. With this team so offensively challenged you can’t pass up that opportunity and think we’re playing for more than 1 run in the inning. Now all I’m hearing is we still have a chance to win the series tomorrow. Big deal. Wake up coach. We had a terrific chance to pick up a game on the Brewers and move to within 4 1/2 back tonight. Judging by the record its at best a 50/50 chance tomorrow. My guess is it’ll be Groundhogs Day all over again. What a waste.
