Game 82: Reds at Padres

Hamilton 8
Frazier 5
Votto 3
Phillips 4
Bruce 9
Mesoraco 2
Ludwick 7
Cozart 6
Latos 1

The Reds are now playing like they did in 2012. I think the two surprises in pitching with Simon and Leake doing exceptionally well and the two surprises in the offense has been Hamilton and Frazier. If Votto gets his game back to normal….school’s out. I believe the way the Reds handled SF is a sign of things to come. I do believe the Reds have hit their stride.

Ok… Lets see if this team has changed. Get back up and win the next two. Cant let this team win the series.

Right on, Big Blu! Road trip doesn’t mean much if they lay an egg in San Diego!

Interesting game last night, San Diego outfield ran down some possible hits quite a few times. Tightly played game, check out the ERA’s of the San Diego pitchers last night.

Padres have better overall pitching than the Reds, as do five other NL staffs.

Yep, we are in the middle in both hitting (average) and pitching (ERA).

The team OBP, a very telling stat, is 25th out of 30. And they stand 22nd in runs scored, so the offense, despite recent improvements, lingers in the bottom third of all teams.
