I think the roster move will be putting Votto on the DL. Hope I am wrong.

At least this lineup has a chance. The problem is we are just not good enough. We don’t have enough good players. Even when everyone is healthy we don’t and especially when some key players are out. If everyone gets back soon … maybe we are good enough to win 85 or so games …. but that’s not good enough. We need to make some big trades to better the team. Is that going to ever happen? It will have to include players we might want to not lose. Chapman, Cueto, Latos or some players like that. You don’t get great players in return unless you trade something good for them. With all the money now tied up with Votto, BP, Homer and to a lesser extent some others … it will be really tough to make this team good enough. I am interested to see what happens.

I think we better stop all the excuses and get to playing some ball.
I feel bad for Castellini who increased base salary greatly over the
last several seasons, only to have a team playing less than .500
ball for the first 25% of the season; especially when we have spots
of talent throughout the 40-man.

I don’t know what the outcome of this game will be, but its not looking good. Too many chances getting the leadoff man on with no results. First goes to our hitters but a good mgr should be taking things in his own hands and making players bunt. Especially 2 on no outs and the top of our line up coming up. Heisey should have been bunting in the 7th or a double steal. What happened to the aggression we used to have???? We are not a good hitting team right now, gotta push the offense now. Come on Price. Be that smart mgr we all know you are.
