Wild Card roster set

Here is the breakdown of the Reds’ 25-man Wild Card roster:

Catchers: Ryan Hanigan, Devin Mesoraco.

Infielders: Joey Votto, Brandon Phillips, Zack Cozart, Todd Frazier, Jack Hannahan, Cesar Izturis

Outfielders: Jay Bruce, Shin-Soo Choo, Ryan Ludwick, Chris Heisey, Xavier Paul, Billy Hamilton, Derrick Robinson

Starting pitchers: Johnny Cueto, Mike Leake

Relievers: Aroldis Chapman, Sam LeCure, J.J. Hoover, Alfredo Simon, Sean Marshall, Manny Parra, Logan Ondrusek, Zach Duke

I thought they would go Bailey instead of Leake. Other than that, looks good.

Look for bruce to break out of slump against loriano and be factor in the game tonight. Reds 6-4 in fantastic finish #redtober

joke right? Leake doesnt see the mound unless they are completely out of pitchers. Then he is there till the end.

Let’s hope that Cueto can go 6 or 7 and then bring in the reinforcements. I think it is merely that Leake’s turn came up for this game. He started 4 games against Pittsburgh this season; getting crushed in his 2nd start of the season (6 IP, 5 ER), but then throwing pretty well over the next 3 starts against the Pirates while giving up 0 R/6 IP, 1 R/7 IP and 3 R/5 2/3 IP. However, Pittsburgh’s batting line this season on Leake is a very good at .313/.365/.448/.813. Barring an injury I don’t think we will see Mr. Leake today.
