Rained out in Goodyear
The Reds and Cubs game was called after only 1 ½ innings because of rain when it was a 1-1 score. There will be no makeup game.
Reds starter Tony Cingrani gave up a two-out solo homer to Scott Hairston in the top of the first. He pitched two innings and allowed one run with two hits, one walk and two strikeouts. Cincinnati evened the score on Neftali Soto’s sacrifice fly off of Nick Struck that scored Shin-Soo Choo.
Rain also had the game begin with a 16 minute rain delay.
