No World Baseball Classic for Cueto
Here is a Tweet from Reds ace Johnny Cueto’s agent, Bryce Dixon — who says that Cueto is unable to pitch in the World Baseball Classic for the Dominican.
Reds exercised right to disallow Cueto’s participation in WBC as he finished on DL. Despite his desire to play, he respects their decision.

Tough one for Johnny here! I feel for ya bud as I know you really wanted to pitch. But I am very happy about this decision. You are our ace and we need you healthy rolling into our biggest season in a long time. The Todd Frazier story of opening that pack of cards and his rookie card being right on the top gives me a very good feeling for this year. So does A.C.’s new pitches!!!!
all the best to mr. Cueto and i am glad he is a red…i know it is tough not to be able to pitch for his country….we all seen how much we need him on our team in last years playoff game.. i believe a healthy cueto makes a vast difference on our club…….so,yes this is tuff for johnny but it will benefit the reds
