Heisey should be in Ceter Field tonight to rattle Stubs a little
Its been a year and a half and we see little change in Drew Stubbs approach at the plate. It seems to me the Reds would be putting Billy Hamilton in center field in Louisville to see if he is capable of playing the outfield. I’m not seeing any tradeoff in the 200 plus strikeouts and below 240 batting average.
That is a great idea, Lets send a player from High A ball to AAA and have him change positions at the same time. That is the way to handle the number 1 prospect in the organization. What you need to do is send Hamilton to AA for the rest of the season and then have him learn to play center in the Arizona Fall League or go to play winter ball somewhere. You do not change a players position in the middle of the season.
Chris Heisey should have been and should be the starting center fielder! Stubbs is batting .218 and continually plays day after day. He is the modern day Corey Patterson. Dusty Baker is a complete joke of a manager!
I would love to see more chris heisey…..when he was playing everyday while stubbs was out he was doing well…someday he might get the chance to have three months to try to prove himself?
If I were dusty I would make a statement and put stubbs in the 9 hole, leaked gets on base more than stubbs and he place once every 5 days, thats sad
