Reds lineup vs. Indians

Cozart 6
Heisey 8
Votto 3
Phillips 4
Bruce 9
Rolen 5
Frazier 7
Harris DH
Hanigan 2

Arroyo 1

*MLB on Wednesday declined Brandon Phillips’ appeal for a scoring change. It upheld the official scorer decision from Monday that Phillips was given a RBI double and scored on a E7 by Johnny Damon. Phillips felt he should have been credited with an inside-the-park homer.

UPDATE — Phillips accepted the decision.

“I’m not mad. I got a hit,” Phillips said. “We just lost. I care about the loss more than anything.”

*If the Reds win tonight, they will regain the Ohio Cup for taking the season series over the Indians. More importantly, they need the victory for a winning road trip.

*Shin-Soo Choo has killed the Reds this season, but he’s particularly dangerous vs. Bronson Arroyo. Choo is 6-for-12 with four homers lifetime against Arroyo.

*In his latest rehab outing for Triple-A Louisville, Bill Bray pitched a scoreless and hitless one inning on Wednesday afternoon with two walks. Bray earned the victory over Scranton-Wilkes Barre but threw 23 pitches with only 10 strikes.

nothing says DH like Willie Harris.. I still dont understand why we cant have the other Catcher DH. Is that difficult for Dusty. I thought Hanigan would have been good last night and Mes today.

I have a hunch that Harris will be designated for assignment on Friday when Stubbs is ready to come off the DL. Dusty in the past has always played these guys the day before he lets them go. It’s just a hunch, only time will tell if it is a reality.

Willie Harris, D.H.?? Does this mean he will have to go out and buy a bat?

how many days in a row do you play rolen. i get tomorrow is a day off but… are you kidding me? does ludwick seem tired to anyone? not like we won the first two of this series. i get seeing if frazier can play left… but we could use a win.
if harris is going when stubbs comes back…. then what is the point?

If the Reds lose tonight it could be the sign that the Reds are weaker than most of us want to believe–please Reds play hard and not like The Bats against the Clippers, sadly the war path will be a place wihere organization strength is settled and if the Indians win please Jocketty be watching—-Reds play your best and hopefully tonight it will suffice—note to Jocketty Bobby Conrad and Eric Patterson are now free agents.

Somebody teach Slammin Sammy Lecure the knuckleball this off season. Add that to his arsenal and we could have the next RA Dickey or Tim Wakefield. I’m just sayin.

Dang it Dusty, shouldn’t have brought Arroyo back for the fourth…
Curt

Dusty has made his Reds career by leaving Arroyo in too long. It’s not unusual to see Bronson trotting off the mound after a dinger..

No sense of humor, huh? Maybe some day they’ll be able to do transplants.

EVERYBODY IS COMPLAINING LIKE A BUNCH OF KIDS THE GM NEEDS TO WORK ON THE ROSTER —-COLUMBUS ON SOME DAYS COULD BEAT THE REDS PLEASE FOCUS ON THE GM DOING A PATCH JOB AND ROLEN HAS EARNED THE CHANCE TO SEE IF HE CAN STILL PLAY.

I think Dusty was wise to not have Leake and Arroyo back to back. I think there is something to that since they pitch very similar. But either way the Reds cant let someone like Justin (Verlander) Masterson beat them like that. Still wondering why Rolen played three straight days too.
