6/12 vs. CLE

Reds lineup vs. Indians

Heisey 8
Valdez 6
Votto 3
Phillips 4
Bruce 9
Frazier 5
Ludwick 7
Hanigan 2
Cueto 1

*Update Cozart, Stubbs and Votto are among Reds players that are sick with flu-like symptoms

*Bill Bray made his second rehab appearance for Class A Dayton on Monday and pitched 1 2/3 innings of perfect relief. Bray is expected to continue his rehab assignment at Triple-A Louisville Thursday and Friday.

*Louisville infielder Chris Valaika had arthroscopic surgery today to report torn medial meniscus and a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. He is expected to miss 3-4 weeks. (UPDATE — Valaika’s ACL is only irritated and frayed and it was cleaned up, according to trainer Paul Lessard)

Valdez, oh has it been 3 days already? I thought Valdez looked rusty the other day when he pinch hit. I was thinking we better get this guy in the lineup and get him going.

Especially when we have Cozart going well over the last several games; OBP of .379, while scoring 5 times this last week. He has raised his average 12 points in 10 days; 4 for 14 over last 3 G. But he better rest after a day off; after all, he’s 26 and played most of the difficult 59 G.

3-4 weeks for a torn ACL???

Is something wrong with Cozart, or has he been heating up to much lately to keep him in the lineup. Question for all of you what is .480?

A.) Joey Votto’s OBP
B.) Heisey and Valdez’s OBP added together
C.) All of the abov

I sure hope Cueto is on his game tonight.

Mark, I know it does not help because Dusty wont answer questions about his lineup. But does anyone ever ask why he gives a young player that is just getting his bat hot for the first time in months a day off after an off day?

Dusty makes a bad team terrible, a good team bad and a great team not win as he screws around too much with the line up

Cozart has the flu guys!

Votto ill as well, but will play. Stubbs was to take BP but he too is ill. Evidentally going through club house and has affected others; not all names discussed yet.

Does anyone read? Believe it or not, it tends to help. Maybe not.

I think the update came after the original post. That’s probably why Mark called it an “update”. LOL

Yes, Mike, you are correct. The update was added sometime later.
