4/18 at STL, Lineup shakeup

Reds lineup vs. Cardinals

Cozart 6
Stubbs 8
Votto 3
Phillips 4
Bruce 9
Rolen 5
Heisey 7
Mesoraco 2
Latos 1

*Considering how things have been going, a lineup shakeup is hardly surprising.

*According to the Reds notes: Phillips has hit in the cleanup spot more than any other spot in his career (397 games, .278, 59hr, 248 RBIs).

*Reds pitchers are 2-5 with a 2.88 ERA over the last seven games, including a 1.73 ERA for relievers.

Look for even more lineup changes if things don’t get better. It will be Dusty’s way of trying things so he doesn’t get fired and sit at home and think, hmmm maybe I should have tried something else.

How about shaking up the coaching staff. Starting with Dudsty.

I like the lineup but wish heisey and stubbs were flip flopped. We desperately need bphill behind votto.

Mesoraco gets a single. Need a pinch hitter. Motte is on the hill, he throws fastballs. Heisey hits fastballs. Heisey struggles against lefties, but Motte is a righty. So we send up Harris. AHHHHH!!! Am I missing something?

Cozart should leadoff and Dat dude should be cleanup for the rest of the year. At least Dusty is trying something. I like getitng Stubbs in the 2 hole as an experiment. Many fans don’t understand what hitting in front of Votto means. It means meat pitches to hit and hopefully it can spark Stubbs. At the same time, I worry that Cozart might come back to earth moving out of that spot. But Cozart is a good hitter and can adjust better than Stubbs. I think Drew has a good night tonight. GO LUCK REDS! Need to turn this ship around. Watch out for Meso break out soon too. HIs offense is too good.

Stubbs will go 0-4 with 3 strikeouts. I really hope I am wrong but even hitting right before Votto will not help the strikeout king..

It’s comical to imagine what is going on internally between Baker, Jacoby, Jocketty and to an extent Castellini. I wonder how many toothpicks Dusty has swallowed this year?

Every single Cards Reds game is a clinic. If you were a smart little league coach you would tell your boys to watch this game and see how the Cards play the game the right way, taking a professional approach w/ all the right fundamentals. The Reds are the complete opposite. Dusty is an idiot and as so many of you have said since the beginning of the season: what did this team do in Arizona? They are fundamentally bankrupt and have a manager that does not know how to manage a big league game. Millions of Cubs fans are laughing at us right now w/ all this talent and the underachievement that a typical Dusty managed team produces.

Dusty Baker is the most counter intuitive manager I’ve ever seen. Putting Stubbs in the 2 hole is beyond ridiculous. The Stubbs experiment is over. He’s not a major leaguer. He simply doesn’t have it in him. Furthermore, Dusty Baker has ruined any chance to let these young players ever develop into good hitters by encouraging them to take their swings early in the count. The result? None of them can hit with 2 strikes. Drew Stubbs is the absolute WORST at it followed closely by Jay Bruce, who had a chance until Dusty poisoned his future. Watch how patient the St. Louis hitters are at the late. They usually get a pitch they can hit while the Reds are perpetually in an 0-2 count and looking overmatched. Dusty Baker MUST be fired immediately.
