*In a second Reds transaction on Tuesday, RHP Jordan Smith was reinstated from the 15-day disabled list and optioned to Triple-A Louisville. Smith missed most of Spring Training with a sore right elbow. He had been rehabbing in extended spring training in Goodyear.

*The order for the 2012 MLB First-Year Player Draft was announced today. The Reds have the 14th pick in the first round.  They also have the 49th (Type B compensation for Ramon Hernandez), 57th (Type B compensation for Francisco Cordero), the  78th, 109th and 142nd picks. The Draft, which begins with first-round coverage on June 4 at 7 p.m. ET, will now be 40 rounds total, instead of 50.
