Bray avoids arbitration
The Reds and lefty reliever Bill Bray have avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract on Tuesday. Terms were not immediately known.
“Contract is done…thanks to the @reds and my agents @OctagonBaseball. My family and I are extremely pleased,” Bray tweeted.
Bray made $645,000 in 2011.
Tuesday is the day that clubs and arbitration eligible players have to exchange salary figures. Besides Bray, Cincinnati also has relievers Nick Masset and Jose Arredondo, starting pitcher Homer Bailey and shortstop Paul Janish eligible for arbitration.

Ya, that is strange that Walt is giving everyone just one year deals. I think Bray has earned more than that.
Good for Bill. Watched him come up with the Nats before the ’06 trade and always thought he would blossom………if he could ever stay healthy. He is the only one still around today from that transaction (unless Kearns and/or Lopez catch on with someone.). Who would ever have thought that it would work out as it has? I can remember the howls of indignation (from the Reds fans) when it was announced.
