*Yonder Alonso, who got only one plate appearance in three games at Colorado, is back in the lineup. Alonso was 10-for-22 with one homer and four RBIs on the nine-game road trip.

*In his previous outing vs. the Cubs on Sept. 5 at Wrigley Field, Dontrelle Willis gave up 4 ER, 6 H, and 5 BB over 7 ip. Willis has walked five batters in each of his last three starts.

*Cubs starter Rodrigo Lopez pitched 5 2/3 innings and gave up 2 ER, 8 H vs. the Reds on Sept. 6 in his last outing. Jay Bruce is 5-for-9 (.556) with one homer against Lopez.
*The Reds elimination number is 2 from the NL Central race and 4 for the NL Wild Card.

*Remember the ‘#hatsoffcin’ tweets a few weeks ago? Tonight, the Reds Community Fund will receive a $50,000 donation from Head and Shoulders shampoo for winning the inaugural ‘Hats Off’ Twitter contest. Reds fans used the hashtag ‘#hatsoffcin’ more than 130,000 times from June 30-Aug. 31 to defeat the second place Giants.
