Arroyo good to go for Thursday
RHP Bronson Arroyo tested his sore Achilles tendon with a bullpen session on Tuesday. There were no issues.
“I felt surprisingly real good,” Arroyo said. “I’m ready to roll today. I’m good. I just threw a regular bullpen, 45 pitches. It was a little shorter than I have been but not because of my ankle. It was because it’s getting late in the year and hot.”
As recently as Sunday, Arroyo said he was sore after running.
Arroyo is scheduled to start the Thursday series finale vs. the Nationals.
