Greetings from Wrigley

Reds lineup vs. Cubs

Votto 3
Phillips 4
Bruce 9
Gomes 7

*In three career starts vs. the Cubs, Edinson Volquez is 2-0 with a 0.96 ERA. He has a 1.54 ERA in his two starts at Wrigley Field.

*Cubs starter Matt Garza has never faced the Reds before. He has previous faced batters Ramon Hernandez, Miguel Cairo and Edgar Renteria. In the very small sample, Hernandez fared the best at 2-for-9 (.222).

*Since going to Triple-A Louisville, RHP Jose Arredondo has a 4.50 ERA with one walk and five strikeouts in three games. He already had nine appearances at Double-A Carolina. Arredondo is scheduled to work tonight for Louisville at Buffalo.

wonder how long Dusty will play Gomes until he figures out he’s not the answer. Gomes should play against leftys only. *shakes head*

It’ll probably take just as long as it took for him to leave Stubbs in last year, then Stubbs had a great end of the season. Sometimes you’re right and sometimes you’re wrong. Dusty is right most of the time. At least the last two years.

I hope Arredondo does well. I’d like to see him get back to the majors. Will there be another Matt Holliday sort of leftfileder out there when it comes time to think about trades (late June and on)? Maybe that’s the answer.

HAHA! Check out all the Funny Cincinnati/Reds T-shirts at Donkey Tees here–>

Thanks! Those are pretty funny. I miss the Big Red Smokey cheesy scoreboard ad from Riverfront. Might have to get that T. Love the Paul and Mike Brown T.
