*Interesting lineup tonight. Dusty Baker indicated he was looking at possibly pairing Janish and Renteria on the left side of the infield. Miguel Cairo has done a good job filling in for Scott Rolen, but at 36, he’ll need breaks to stay fresh if he wants to stay productive.
*It’s also a good chance for Renteria to snap out of his funk. Although batting .360, he’s 2-for-13 over his last five games. Both hits were singles.
*Hermida is also searching for first hit as a Red. He is 0-for-9, mostly as a pinch-hitter. This is his second start.
