Some transactions – 3B Juan Francisco was placed on the 15-day DL with a strained left calf. RHP Jared Burton (rt shoulder inflammation) was moved to the 60-day DL. OF Jeremy Hermida had his contract selected from Triple-A Louisville. He will wear No. 26.
You may remember that Hermida had a good spring but was one of the final cuts. He batted .342 with three homers and six RBIs during camp. With Louisville, he batted .333/.405/.606 with two homers and nine RBIs.
