Hernandez hurting
Reds vs. A’s, 4:05 p.m. ET, WLW/MLB.com audio
Reds lineup:
Stubbs 8
Phillips 4
Votto 3
Rolen 5
Gomes 7
Bruce 9
Hanigan 2
Janish 6
Leake 1
*The regulars are playing nine innings today, except for Phillips.
*Ramon Hernandez has been bothered by a sore elbow and will be examined Thursday when Dr. Kremchek is back in town. It wasn’t known how much time, if any, Hernandez might miss.
“He’s treating it,” manager Dusty Baker said. “It just came up. It just happened. It’s nothing structural in there. He’s having a little trouble getting extended sometimes.”
Hernandez will DH tomorrow in a Minor League game since he’s not bothered while hitting.

Thanks for giving the remaining 35 men. I almost had it right, but I had Carroll instead of Miller, because Carroll was scheduled to start, yesterday. Anyway thanks again, sir.
Thanks Mark. Think we’ll see one more big cut of 6 or more? Or a few little two or three man cuts every couple of days?
Curt
Oh, and just to clarify, on my previous comment I meant that “I” needed to get caught up on this, not that you needed to get caught up. Im sure you took it the right way, I just wanted to make sure I cleared that up just in case. Thanks again.
Curt
Now the questions becomes: take 11, 12 or 13 pitchers back to Cincy? Let’s say 12. Arroyo, Volquez, Bailey, Woods and Leake (for now). In the bullpen, Cordero, Chapman, Willis, Bray, Ondrusek, Masset, and Burton. That sends Maloney, LeCure and Arredondo to Louisville, and keeps Cueto in Goodyear to start the year. 13 position players. The eight starters, and Hannigan, Cairo, Renteria and two more: Heisey and Hermida? Hermida and Willis coming onto the 40-man roster would expose two players to the Whatchamacallit 5 draft, is that right? Is that a factor in the choices the Reds make? In its own way, this is harder than filling out a (reasonably successful) tournament bracket.
